Th HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Megathread
Including coupons and the free tickets for Toy Story 3 that were included, I just got Toy Story 1&2 on Blu Ray for free, plus they gave me $13, from Toys R Us.
If you don't count the 2 free tickets to the next movie, I physically paid $4 for 2 Blu Rays, today.

What exactly was the deal? We got:
TS1 and 2 special edition (which has both BD and DVD versions in the case) for $18.xx with tax, and they also had the free movie tickets (one each) for TS3. They also came with two DVDs for the PC with kids games, but, I doubt those will ever even be loaded.
Got them at Target where they were priced at $22.99 each, with $10 off if you bought both. Had two $10 off coupons (total of $20 [$10 off each movie]). Plus tax. So, $46 - $10(for buying both)-$20($10 off coupons)=$16+tax.
Did you get the DVD version included as well, or was yours a different package?

Both were the combo packages.
I registered my original DVDs on disney's "Upgrade to Blu" promotion dealie, so I had an $8 off coupon for each movie (and I still have my original TS DVDs and cases, they just wanted the UPC code mailed in).
I don't remember from where, but I also had $5 off coupons for each movie, as well. I think disney.com just had them available for printing, so I printed them. I didn't think anyone would let me double up my coupons, but people were having good lucking doing that very thing at Toys R Us.
Anyway, Toys R Us have a sale going on, buy one BD/DVD, get a second for 50% off. TS 1&2 were marked $30 each. However, they have their bundle deal going on, so I could buy both TS movies for $40. At the register, on top of that, they applied the 50% discount to the other movie on top of it. Makes the cost $30, so far.
Then they accepted all 4 of my coupons, two $8s and two $5s.
Do the math, comes down to $4 that I paid for both, together.
And I will certainly be using the "Free admission to Toy Story 3" coupons (Up to an $8.50 value)," so I consider that as part of the money I saved, today. In reality, I walked out of Toys R Us up 2 BDs, and $13 extra dollars.

There are two Tangled coupons, each for $5 off the 4-disc combo pack. The first is a manufacturer's coupon that can be used in any brick and mortar store. The second is only good at Target.
Coupon 1

Coupon 2
I just printed these and went to my local Target.
1 - Tangled is on sale for $19.99, at mine.
2 - They had a deal running where if you buy one of the other Disney combo packs (Dumbo, Beauty and the Beast or.... Snow White, I think)with Tangled, you get a $10 Target gift card.
3 - Got Tangled (normally $20) and Dumbo (normally $30), minus $5 off Tangled with above coupon, minus $5 off Dumbo with the above coupon, minus $10 in that Target gift card, making the total for both blurays $30.

I picked up the Rocky 1-6 BD "Undisputed Collection" a while back, and have been watching them lately when Netflix was slow.
Have watched 1 and 2 so far.
Those 2 movies might be the worst looking BD films I own. I know that sometimes there is meant to be grain in a shot, but some of these scenes were downright staticy. At one point during 2 the thought occurred to me that this must be what a VHS looks like on a big screen. A couple times in both movies it seems like the original film had a bad spot and the color faded off to the side for a few seconds. Seems like no restoration was done at all to the film stock.
Some shots were BD quality, but overall, yuck. Maybe this is the best they can get with the archives they have, but shit, if they can get the 1960's Star Trek remasters looking PERFECT then maybe they should have spent a few dollars on this film collection. Surely something could have been done.
I'll comment on 3-6 (when I get to them) if there is anything to add.
