Speaking of upgrades, I've got this new stick of Corsair P2700 RAM that it turns out I can't use (I thought I had the Foxxconn 651M02 mobo, but it turns out I've got the 650M02 ... oops). A 1 Gig stick. Corsair CMSS1GBR72-333 1GB PC2700 DDR, to be precise.
If there's anyone using a 1GB stick of P2100 RAM that has a mobo that could use the P2700 and would like to swap (call it a ultra-mini-upgrade), let me know. I'll pay for shipping both ways.
I'm not completely sure if the P2700 is ECC or not (I think it is), but I can only use a Non-ECC P2100.

You'd think so, but when I plugged it in it wouldn't take it. Then I consulted the actual paper manual (it's for both models), and it's got a footnote in it that: "PC 2700 supported on 651M02 only".
I am sad.
I've bought a PC 2100 since (still en route), and I can save this one for my next upgrade, but I figured if anyone was interested in a swap I'd be up for it.

Might be upgrading in a couple months. All depends on how much the rent is at the new place & how much taxes crush my testicles.

Oh, by the way, I did recently upgrade from an AMD 2100+XP, 1 GB RAM, GeForce 6800 GT AGP to AMD64 3500+, 1 GB RAM (Daul channel or whatever it's called), GeForce 7800 GT PCI-E. Still running with an old ATA 100 hard drive though. As far as EVE, I see much smoother frame rates and I'm not affected by the mem leak nearly as much. I can't think of a time where my view locked up while looking around space, etc since upgrading. There's the occational loading delay when I warp/jump into a populated area, but I blame lag rather than hardware. I still see the mem leak (not as bad as before though. They may be making progress there. I haven't had to restart during play in quiet a few days), but it doesn't start acting poorly at 650 MB like it use to. I could play right through that.
So, the upgrade did help, but not overwhelmingly. Of course, other games play much nicer, and I'm looking forward to loading up Call of Duty II. But that's for another thread. . .
By the way, what is better SATA 150 or SATA 3.0GB? I see both out there, at about the same price. No idea which is suppose to be better.
