Blind Guardian concert
They're playing a show with two other random metal bands (I assume). At a tiny-ass joint (1000 or less, easy) on Nov. 30th. Right next to the biker bar. Thinking about going.

Hell of a show. Was no more than twenty feet from the stage the entire time. Fairly small venue. As for the high notes ... nope. Not really, anyhow. There were times when he wasn't just yelling loudly, but the pitch wasn't pure enough for me to consider it equivalent to the album.
That being said ...
Sting can't sing "Roxanne" anymore. Brian Johnson looked damn near ready to die last time I saw him do "Back in Black." And everything sounds better in a studio with a few professional audio engineers, separate tracks for everything, and infinity takes you can stitch together to make every last note sound perfect.

When I bought my first BG album I actually thought they had 2 different singers, one guy hitting the high notes and one guy doing the yelling. Nope.Malcolm wrote:Hell of a show.
