Just read the "interview". Mike Nash must get paid a LOT of money to have his picture and name associated with that bullshit.

My favorite Microsoft infuriating lie of the day comes from my Dell contact who sent along this nugget from a MS article while he was looking for a Vista SP1 release date:
Microsoft has not released an official date for the release of Service Pack 1.
• Luckily, Windows Vista is unlike Windows XP in that it does not require a Service Pack to have the latest security patches and functionality. The operating system automatically searches for and downloads any updates available (through Windows Update). So, someone who purchased a PC with Windows Vista today would already have all of the Microsoft updates currently scheduled for availability in the first Service Pack.

Microsoft just has zero fucking respect for its consumers. Sadly, the majority of PC consumers will eat that load of shit up and think it's gospel.

I stopped reading when he started talking about Vista like it wasn't pile of vulture shit.

I want to know why PC Gamer is suddenly telling my that I MUST get Windows Vista. "DX 10 is your new best friend," and such. They've never liked Vista much until this issue, and all of a sudden they spent 5-10 pages having Vista orgasms. I kept checking the top of the pages for "Special Advertising Section."

I think someone got paid.

Agreed. Let's be honest here, print media is a dying breed. They probably needed the cash Microsoft could provide.

Of course, in their defense, PC Gaming has always been based on ever evolving technology and while Vista might make older games no longer work, it'll play the hell out of newer games that are Direct X10 enabled.

But yeah, I found that article oddly timed as well.

I triple dog dare you to write 'em.
