I liked your open walk - but make the sea lab if you do it. Grab that one mex on the way so you have 5. Some ppl make an energy storage as they walk through the trees on the way. (the why is, if your opp went a sea lab like he should, your hovers and lab would get crushed by early ships)
For a hover build - make the hovers right where your comms starts to save time. Then be super duper aggresive with them. Never done one and generally celebrate seeing it against me.
The hovers at the edge of the water was funny mainly because your opponent did a bot lab at similar spot.
All that aside - I liked that you got your resources and production up and under control fast. Think about doing some of your usual eco things but prioritize some of the crazy resources of the geo spot. All the trees, island closeness, etc.
You can just put a radar up on the geo hill to start. A few wind. Add some AA at some point. get their early but don't rush the geo until you need it. Comm walking - a must as a sea player - when you finish the first con turret near your sea lab - put some defenses down - a torp launcher, an aa turret and a laser turret - and walk to the island. It was very open. yours to take.
So production up, Good sea comp built. Add a early sub to the mix and you'll just be winning games early.
Here you prob could have. Your army could have beat his from...6m? on. A couple big destroyers would have trouble hitting your group as you mauled his base.
13m, you could have comm walked to the island forever ago. Do it next time! Your eco was solid. still open Geo spot tho. THATS YOURS.
15m, Woo you being aggressive. Think you about to attack his base. Send subs and scout early.
16m. SEA BATTLE. Crushed him.
It's hard to micro but keep the sub away from big ball fights and send it at his sea mexes, be safe, it wins games just sniping and giving vision.
GEO SPOT - after you won your lane with such ease everyone was scared to take it. You are at last
Oh nice combo attack at 17m. Your side - led by you kills their sea and geo player in an instant. How does your team lose this one!?
Got some big ships built now and are ready to impact the game. You can... send home and eat basic frigates and dolphins back at base. Make more big ships.
When attacking land targets with t2 ships, the set target command is a must. It'll be easier to micro those ships as you used to them more. It's games like this one that are great to learn! I've recently realized that the fast t2 subs in mass quantities can just dodge Duck torpedos and easily counter them pound for pound.
You fended off everyone else, and even got another bombing run in through your sea after fighting land for a while. Top marks.
The rest of the team let you down - boo.
