BMI is just a product of your height + weight. Body fat = composition (fat/muscle)
For body fat, you'd have to 1) use calipers, 2) use a Bod Pod ($75 just to visit one), 3) use a cheap, inaccurate home scale.
I do #3.

Using calipers is something that requires experience and talent, not just any moron can do it accurately.

Went back up to 220 lbs. On 5/9, restarted low carb eating. Down to 205.7 as of this morning. Goal is 2 lbs/week throughout the summer.

I am maintaining at 208ish. I don't eat as much as I'd like through the week, then I eat like shit on the weekends. Still hitting the gym/swimming 3+ miles a week, so that is helping.
I figure the longer I maintain this weight vs. the 244 I started at, the easier it will be to keep it off.
And you saw my recent, hot wetsuit pics at the zoo. Go ahead and print those out poster sized as motivation.

From here on out the goal is body composition.

My last weigh-in shirt would've looked something like this:

Climbed a 5.9+ for the first time. It wasn't clean, I fell once, but I climbed it.

Why are sweet potatoes included in so many diet plans?

i had a sweet potato fry sample at Costco the other day... first time I've eaten a sweet potato in my life. It was interesting. They have carbs though, right?
