Synopsis:
Some mercs swipe $3M from Camp Pendleton. Their subsequent escape route takes them through an abandoned farm with ... a windmill. And scarecrows.
Review:
This was actually enjoyable. Provided you accept the scarecrow thing, there's a minimal amount of dumb-ass behaviour. Course, if your team can knock over a military base and make off with a few mil, you'd think they could keep their greed in check, but whatever.
Whether they know it or not, the writers did a decent job of making a good excuse or two why they don't up and torch the scarecrows or the fields they inhabit. The special effects are just barely there, but they mostly happen outside during dark shots, so they're covering as best they can. The cast is full of no names, lots of scarecrow shots are recycled, etc.
A respectable effort and fine example of late '80s style and atmosphere.

After 1993, though, DD was mandatory through the Marines, so.
