A little girl is raised by her father to be an assassin with a specific target in mind.
She goes to do the deed and the government is involved, and there's twists and turns about her and her life.
Meanwhile, she is out in the world for the first time, and is amazed by it, and its inhabitants.
The end.
There's a decent story here, and you won't hate seeing this movie once...well, Malcolm will. However, it's horribly paced, seems longer than it needs to be, and is a journey of discovery hidden inside an action film.
I see now why it failed at the box office because, like the girl, it doesn't know itself.

This is exactly what I came to say. It starts out and ends actiony.... Bourne Identity style.... and then has a solid hour in the middle with the girl discovering music and electric appliances and friendship for the first time.Leisher wrote:However, it's horribly paced, seems longer than it needs to be, and is a journey of discovery hidden inside an action film.

They touched on the idea that Papa could only socialize her so much in a cabin near the arctic circle, and really the mission would be acomplished before she was released into the world, according to the plan.
And they actually did a good job of showing what a competent but bad job dad did.
The movie just had an identity crisis, is all. It didnt know what it was any more than Hanna did. Hey, wait a minute...... dot dot
