Disney/Marvel killing WB

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Polls favor Marvel

Iron Man 3 tops a poll of most anticipated summer films. Man of Steel didn't make the top 5.

Fucking Fast and Furious 6 did. This is why men keep getting portrayed as morons. We keep buying tickets for shit like this, hell F&F 7 is already in the works.

The other poll shows The Avengers as the best summer film people have seen in the past 30 years.

Disney/Marvel has a great thing going. It'll be curious to see if they fuck it up with subpar efforts and over saturation or simply lose steam.

A) That poll included a whole 4K people. Other flicks...
The others rounding out the top five are Star Trek Into Darkness, The Great Gatsby, Fast & Furious 6, and The Hangover 3.

Who the fuck is waiting for The Great Gatsby? Because the other five movie adaptations haven't quite nailed it? And why, with the exception of the aforementioned book from last century, in the mother of fuck are these all sequels? The last two are movies I only watch when they're on cable when I'm at home and don't feel like thinking for the next 90 minutes.

B) Avengers being voted as the greatest summer action flick of the past 30 years ... I'm just saying the votes might be biased towards the movies released more recently.

I know, The Great Gatsby threw me for a loop too. I didn't even know it was coming out.

Loved that Star Trek was on there though.

Also, I should point out that Man of Steel would make my top 5.

Off the top of my head, I know I'm seeing the following summer movies in the theater, and possibly opening night:
Iron Man 3
Man of Steel
Star Trek Into the Darkness

Polls are ALWAYS slanted to newer stuff, unless you're a voting member of the AFI, then it skews to the older stuff, which is when most of their members were in their prime.

They should just join forces with AARP and call it a day. Everything after the 1950s is apparently shit to them, unless it's something from a subsequent decade involving a mega star from back then.
