Heh, a title search didn't work, so I had to mentally think, "How would I write this review?" I searched "been alive," and found the thread.
Anyway, there's a sequel, "The Man From Earth: Holocene." I'm half-way through it, had to stop it to run an errand. Interesting, but not as good, so far.

Forgot I had this unfinished, and finished it.
The first movie was really good. It had a single idea, limited cast, one setting. It told a story. It had a conclusion. I was satisfied.
This sequel is kind of a mess. It presents a new challenge for the character, but then it sort of goes south. We get a glimpse of what his "lay low" life is like, and his new challenges remaining anonymous in the internet age... but the main problem I had was that they skipped the end of the movie. I won't give it away, but the equivalent would be if in Star Wars (ep 4), they had a scene where Luke joins the rebel alliance, and the Death Star shows up to destroy them.... and then in the very next scene, they're getting their medals for winning. This movie literally skipped the end. The only reason why is that they set up a sequel, hard.
Watch the first one. It's good, and tells a good story. This one is trying to set up a franchise, and suffers for it.
