Bruce Willis and Forest Whitaker DON'T star in this movie that tries to hard to pretend Quentin Tarrantino made it.
Willis is in the film for maybe 10 minutes, and looks terrible.
Whitaker is lights out, but again, he isn't in the film that much. Whitaker might be one of the most underrated actors in history. The guy is money in everything he's in, yet he doesn't get any love.
This film revolves around this chick who is in a world of shit and does business with Willis.
The direction is decent, as is the acting, but the writing is shitty. The characters are too shallow for me to care about, and too many things feel shoehorned into a scene. It's like they got to that scene, and thought, "Oh shit, how do we make the audience care about this guy? Let's stop the action and give them 15 minutes of dialogue..."
See it if you're really into that style of film, but know going in that it isn't Tarrantino level. Hell, maybe knowing that will help you enjoy it more...
4 out of 10.
