Blitz

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Jason Statham is a cop in London during a wave of cop killings by a man known as Blitz.

Here's my biggest problem with Blitz: Jason Statham doesn't get to be Jason Statham. Sure he kicks ass, but not in an action film sort of way. The fights are more like, one punch and done.

This is strictly a drama with shades of action. There are a LOT of characters to keep track of and it becomes difficult due to the very random scene selection. I think the editor had a giant brain fart here because he takes too long to cut back to characters so it takes you a minute to remember who is who, and why you care.

And you should care because they take a lot of time telling you about each person, so you get to know them. If fact, I think the most shallow character is Statham's.

Anyway, come at this film like a cop drama, and you should enjoy it.

6 out of 10.
