This was an HBO show from back in the 90's with Gary Shandling playing the role of late night talk show host, Larry Sanders. Most of it is behind-the-scenes stuff and is pretty damned funny.
It is from the 90's, though, so be ready with a lot of Bill Clinton/OJ Simpson/etc humor.
