I Am Omega

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I posted a link a while back from imdb showing some director's body of work. It was special because all of his films were knock offs of popular films. The idea is to ride their popularity for some quick money. Transmorphers is an example. AvH (Alien versus Hunter) is another.

I decided to give this guy's work a shot with I Am Omega because he switched the vampires to zombies, and everyone loves zombies.

The title is played off of I Am Legend and The Omega Man, both films (all three, including this one) are based on the Richard Matheson novel "I Am Legend" (far better than all three films).

Lots of little nods to those films and the book throughout this film. Such as a picture of a German Sheppard (from the book), the cars driven, the talk of immunity, the mannequin, etc. So at least the director/writer/etc. respect the original works.

Anyway, this film is dreadful. The zombies are ridiculous and go from stumbling morons to ninjas depending on what the scene needed. Even worse is that there are rarely more than one on screen at any given time.

The acting is unspeakably bad. I really felt for the main character who seemed to be genuinely trying, but obviously has no talent.

I won't even dignify the plot with comments.

I'm tired of talking about this movie. Listen, if you love unintentional comedy, rent this and laugh your ass off. Otherwise, avoid it like the plague.

0 out of 10.
