William H. Macy, Christopher Walken, and Morgan Freeman star as workers at a museum that's about the change out their exhibits. The problem is that these gentlemen love certain exhibits so much that they decide to steal them before they're gone.
Do I even need to say anything about the acting? Just look at those names and you know it's brilliant. Morgan Freeman, in particular, shows another level of his talent as he plays a very believable gay man. The only negative in this film's cast is that you see a LOT of William H. Macy's ass.
This was obviously not a major release film, but with the talent involved and the decent plot, it could have been. This is a very, very solid effort and I've got almost nothing negative to say about the film.
I guess a little more humor could have fit into the story, and they did spent a touch too much time with Walken's wife, but those are not deal killers. The first half of the film drags a touch, as well, but it works as the time is filled well with characterization.
I even enjoyed the symbolism of Walken's discovery in the final act.
Don't expect a classic, but I enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone who likes good acting.
