Trick R Treat

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Remember the old horror films with multiple stories, like Tales from the Crypt or The Twilight Zone (although, that's kind of Sci Fi)?

This movie follows in their footsteps, except instead of a "host" leading you through the stories, everything ties together sort of like a Seinfeld episode.

That makes it difficult to give you a breakdown of the storyline. But here goes: This film occurs in one town on Halloween, and there are evil creatures about. You're safe if you follow the rules of Halloween, and fucked if you don't. Although, I'd argue that not every kill sticks to this theme.

The film is good in terms of combining all the stories and the main baddie is really well designed. I will admit to being a touch disappointed when he's exposed, but he's still pretty awesome.

A few of the stories leave something to be desired, but it's a horror movie, so you expect that. Still, this movie embraces Halloween like few other horror films, the most obvious exception being Halloween (the Carpenter version, not that piece of shit Zombie version.)

It's worth the rental, particularly during the Halloween season.

7 out of 10.

Is there a blond English vampire in the middle of it all, taking in the carnage, and then says, "Neat!"?

No.

I would have sworn Malcolm had a threat for this movie, but I couldn't find it.

Is this the one with a few vignettes stitched together by a tiny monster with a pumpkin head?
