Dead & Breakfast - At 'Dem Flicks w\ Malcolm

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Saw this one on TV. Tivo'd it for later. David Carradine's in it for the first twenty minutes or so. Dietrich Bader ("Two chicks at the same time.") is in that category as well.

Anyhow, they shoot for horror-comedy here, complete w\ choreographed zombie dancing & a country/rock band that narrates between scenes recapping anything you just missed. They weren't going light on the fake blood, either.

As you can imagine, some zombies come to life & take out a small town in the middle of nowhere. The gimmick here is that they aren't undead zombies -- they're possessed by a pissed off ancient spirit. So they can still talk, think, & reason just like semi-coherent people. Copious amounts of violence & slapstick gory humour.

My biggest gripe is that it takes the villains half a fucking hour to show up. & there's more than a couple scenes where the characters act like morons. But they exhibit much more awareness & survival instinct than your average B-movie body shields.

It's a reasonably entertaining, bloody zombie movie. You'll laugh along w\ a couple scenes at least. This is the kind of thing you'd theoretically find in the $5 bin somewhere.
