The Cook

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

An indy horror/comedy about a sorority whose hired chef is really a serial killer.

There really isn't a storyline at all, the acting is sometimes decent, but mostly exaggerated for effect, the director makes some odd choices in shot selection and editing, and it's all very low budget.

Still, I enjoyed it. Not sure if it hit me in the right mood or not, but it was pure mindless entertainment. It helped that the majority of the cast is hot women (Special mention to Makinna Ridgway because she's super hot.) and they are usually scantily clad and talking about or participating in sexual activities, including lesbianism.

It had a pretty good amount of humor. Granted, nothing will give you a belly laugh, but you'll chuckle along with the shots of typical horror films.

I rented it for a $1 and that may have helped my enjoyment. Ditto for me going in with lower expectations.

If you ever want a simple laugh with some gore and T&A, you could do worse. Still, I can't rate it super high because, it's still a low budget, poorly written film. It's just an entertaining one.

4 out of 10.
