Lost Season 3

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I'm finally getting caught up... in the last few weeks we've watched Seasons 1 & 2 (we only got through ep 8 of season 2, before, where the tailies meet Sayid, for the first time), and we have watched the first episode of season 3 on Blu-Ray.

Are there any "safe" Lost threads I can read, yet, or do they all discuss the show through season 3 and into 4?

We should have always had different threads for different seasons. Just sayin.

I highly doubt any of the previous threads are safe.

Just ask any questions or make any statements here. I'll, and hopefully others, will do our best to not give any spoilers. In fact, I'll just respond with a "wait and see" for anything I can't answer. Just be sure to be very detailed about where the characters are in their progression through the story where you have your question or statement.

There was a lot of evidence to suggest they were in Purgatory through seasons 1 and 2, but season 3 is making everything.... weird and corporatey.

People on Al Gore's web went nuts with the whole Purgatory thing. Thus, I think they're doing what they can to distance the show from that possibility. You haven't seen the end of the distancing from that theory.

Also, one of the creators outright denied that this is purgatory.

Don't worry, there'll be plenty of weird to go around throughout the entire run of this series.

Just warming this thread back up because I only have one episode of season 3 left to watch.

Finished season 3... sheesh. Nice twist in the last episode.

Wanted to quickly add that I watched seasons 1 &2 on regular DVD, and season 3 on BluRay. These are the nicest DVD packages I've ever seen, at least menu-wise. Each menu shows a distinctive scene from the previous disk, yet from an entirely new angle, like you were secretly observing it from behind a rock... makes me wonder if they had planned the DVD scenes from the beginning of the season. And on-screen where you have "Main Menu," "Play All," and "Episodes," they all blend well in the scene, to the point where sometimes the waves will partially conceal the word "Episodes" as they crash onto the rocky beach. That sort of thing.

It's very well done. I actually napped to the sounds of the DVD menu one day when it was playing the insects in the jungle.
