In addition to the lawnmower-like noise of the mule's gas-powered engine, there were other challenges without clear solutions, including how to repair the hulking robot if it breaks and how to integrate it into a traditional Marine patrol.


DARPA spent tens of millions on this. I wonder if it wouldn't have just been easier to use...a real damn mule?

Maybe throw some of that DARPA money and just domesticate a new bad-ass animal.

Like a fucking Tiger. Marine patrols with tigers would be awesome.

A loud engine??? When I heard there were noise issues I assumed whining pneumatics and shit. Had no idea it was THAT stupid.
