The California NAACP wants the national anthem banned.
Why?
Because of a verse in the song that nobody sings, nobody knows, isn't taught, etc. The only people who seem to want to give it the light of day are people offended by it.
Oh, and Francis Scott Key was a racist, so there's that...
Really? A guy who lived during slavery was a racist? A time when people of color weren't considered equal. SHOCKING! The founding fathers were racists and slave owners too, but I don't see you leaving the country or abandoning those freedoms they gave you.
If you can't tell, I'm pretty sick and tired of this selective "ban this or that" bullshit.
