I hate hecklers. I will side with Dave on this one. I would also stir up the crowd and instigate a beatdown on the hecklers who ran him off.

I imagine Comedy Central got a little too hands on for his taste. He realized he had the cash, the rep, and didn't need to listen to them right away.

My thought was he dried up... I saw the stuff they filmed for season 3, and just not funny at all. Not a chuckle in 2 or 3 hours worth of shows. I think he saw that happening, and booked.

If that was because CC was handling the show, so be it. But that shit was bad. It is good he didn't finish it.

Speculation he's done with stand up. Considering that no matter what club he plays in there will always be some asshole yelling, "I'm Rick James, bitch," I wouldn't blame him.

That article is turning into a bullshit racial issue.

I've been to a few comedy shows, including George Carlin and Bobcat Golthwaite, and they were all white comedians getting heckled by a drunk, white crowd.

True. She does get insane after a bit. Still wouldn't be shocked if that's the last time you see Dave doing a one-man routine for a bit.

He should just do the HBO specials with a selected, packed house that is capable of acting like grownups.

Of course, most comedians hone their act for TV by hitting the clubs and shit, so yeah. George Carlin admitted he was doing that when I saw him at an Indian casino in the middle of nowhere, Iowa. Had an HBO special coming up. His last, I believe.
