My wife does the "do me a favor" thing all the time. I ask her if this means she will owe me a favor. The answer is always no.

She also does:

Her: Do you want to do *shitty task?*
Me: No, I don't want to do it.
Hey: But will you anyway?

It's the command disguised as a question so she can pretend to not be bossy.

Is she from the South? Apparently my wife and I have this kind of miscommunication as well, but reversed. I'm from the South and she's a midwesterner.
