My wife likes their early stuff, I prefer the latter.

I think the later stuff is more polished, while their earlier stuff sounds more garage-bandy, and I don't like the garage band sound.

The early stuff, while good, just sounds repetitive to me. The later stuff has more variety, more content.

I enjoy them both but the later stuff is better. The early stuff is just fun pop music.

That was the one of the key points for me.

Also, early on everyone'd the same problems that'd later develop into a full-blown hissyfit (George's nerves, Paul's drugs, John's insanity, & Ringo's being the worst drummer in fucking history), but in the first half of their careers they just put up w\ it & still cranked out decent tunes. Certainly more pop than interesting, though.
