Check the NFL thread. We got that beat, easy. Which means this is probably the worst snowstorm Minneapolis has seen since winter of '81, at least.

We're in the same storm here in Toledo, just a day later.

Have fun with your five-foot snowdrifts. We are.

I always thought it was strange when looking at Tampa Bay and Miamis end of season road record why Minnesota and Detroit would give up an advantage by playing inside. I would think that San Diego would relish the idea of traveling across the country to then play outside in Detroit or Chicago either.

Trying to make more money by getting butts in the indoor seats instead of out in a blizzard?

Well shit. I think I'm going to need to run the snowblower tonight if the wife is going to have any chance of getting the car out of the driveway tomorrow. Still going to snow all night. I'm guessing no school tomorrow.
Hope they plow my road, too.

Nope I have seen idiots pack the stadium in Buffalo for playoff games when they had to shovel 3 feet of snow off the seats for people.
Chicago is having to shovel the lines off the field and restripe every 15 minutes so all the fans in the place can watch today.

You would even bother clearing that? I can still see grass! There won't be school, but it will be because of the ice, not the snow. There's not that much snow. At least, not up here. I started shoveling the driveway, and then stopped because it was stupid. All of our cars can drive through it. We got 4, maybe 5 inches I'm guessing. Roads were ice though. One 100 yard stretch of 75 had 11 cars in the ditch. People are stupid.
Six man-hours to clear our driveway over a two days. I felt like I was digging trenches more than shoveling snow.

Dude, that was after the first couple hours. 8 hours later with nonstop snow, I went out and cleared it so the car could get out; the drifts on the driveway were a foot deep in places. Then it snowed all night, and I am going to go out and clear the sidewalks at some point today because the kids need to get to the bus stop tomorrow and I don't like seeing them walking the wheel ruts in the middle of the road because my shithead neighbors don't clear their sidewalks.

Where the hell do you live? Alaska? I'm 20 minutes from you and we got about 3 inches, maybe 4. No 4 foot drifts.
I shoveled the driveway last night and overnight we got an additional inch, but I think it was due more to blowing snow than actual snowfall.
I did, however, have a bad driving experience. Ran out to get some pizzas last night and slid through a stop sign, took an entire light cycle to get enough traction to drive through a green light, and later went off the road to the right while turning left (doing 20 MPH). Got home and checked my treads. Didn't realize how worn my tires were. Getting a new set tomorrow.

There's several places in my own front yard where there's at least five-foot-high piles.
