On Apple TV.
Owen Wilson is Chubs, and a new comer (to me) is Happy. The love interest is a she/they. Happy place is just a song.
HEAVY Happy Gilmore vibes. It's basically Happy Gilmore, if Sandler didn't write it. There are some added main characters that bring value, and it's not a direct copy of HG, but it's pretty damn close.
That being said, it was a decent watch. The She/They wasn't pushed too hard, and there was some in character push back to balance it out. But it did bother me that the girl said "I'm she/they" and every time one of the characters would say "she" he would get corrected to say 'they'.
Was it worth the 10 45 minute episodes? Depends. Put it deep in your watch list. It's better than a LOT of shit I've watched, but not as good as others.
