You are the GM of an NFL team. The draft is coming and your team desperately needs a new right tackle. Unfortunately, there are only two right tackles in this draft class. You draft before any other team with a need for a RT. You MUST select one of them.
Tackle #1: Went to a Mountain West school. 1 year starter. Height, weight, size, strength, speed, reaction times, etc. are all exactly average among RTs. Processes assignments logically. Solid B student in school. Mostly calm under pressure. He won't make mistakes often. Dramatic improvement is absolutely possible given the correct diet, training, and exercise routine. However, he has faced lots of negative press during his career and some of the fan base will be pissed if you draft him. They will be vocal about it.
Tackle #2: Went to a DIII school and didn't start in any season. Height, weight, size, strength, speed, reaction times, etc. are worse than 90% of RTs. Kind of a hothead and wears his emotions on his sleeve. Those emotions tend to lead to mistakes. His school had to fudge numbers a bit to make him eligible to make the team and play. Absolutely cannot win a 1v1 against 95% of defensive linemen. If facing Miles Garrett, he would be utterly useless and Miles would likely injure your QB. Will be very popular among some of your fanbase, but won't provoke public backlash by those upset by the pick.
