This is an update? homage? to Romancing the Stone. There's even a direct reference to that movie, in this one.
Romance writer who despises her audience, and also was an archeology student in college, gets caught up in a "rich guy found a lost city and needs her expertise" plot. Hilarity ensues.
Sandra Bullock looks decent for 57. Magic Mike seems too young for her as a love interest, but this is the woke age. Old women can pull younger strippers now. Pretty good twist with the professional rescue person, but I kinda saw it coming.
There is an early-credits scene. I didn't stick around to the end of the credits. Girlfriend laughed a lot.

I made a "woke age" quip, but I guess I should just be satisfied they had a white male as a protagonist/love interest. That's becoming rare.

That was my first thought when I saw the trailer.
Wokeness only allows this though.
Older women going after young men? Empowered queen.
Older man going after young women? Creep.
