Also, I still want someone to explain to me how casting minorities in the roles of white people is "progress". Seems more like placating to me at the expense of one race for another.
You want real progress then write movies involving that minority's culture and mythos.

Changing the race of an established character is always going to smell like agenda, no matter what. This will automatically put some people on edge. That shouldn't be the goal of entertainment.

Yup.
Let's see, what other live action Disney films are in the works? Oh, The Little Mermaid that will be played by a black woman. This is why I said it doesn't feel like progress, it feels like patronizing. Kind of like how 80% of commercials now feature black people when they're only 12% of the population.
I don't blame the marketers for that because they were simply responding to social changes and demands, but since they didn't talk it's having the opposite effect.
