The true story of WWE star Paige.
From her family's humble beginnings to her debut match, Paige went through some shit. So did those around her.
A couple of names you'll know: The Rock shows up being all Rock. Queen Cersei is completely unrecognizable. Nick Frost ate Nick Frost (dude is huge). Vince Vaughn is not playing typical Vince Vaughn, but there are flashes of it. Stephen Merchant is here playing the straight male for Nick Frost's over the top wrestling father. He also represents non-wrestling fans. A couple of actual WWE stars also make cameos.
The real stars are Florence Pugh, playing Paige, and Jack Lowden, playing her brother. They are excellent. They are the heart of the movie and both are up to the task.
Overall, it's a pretty positive story. It's all about family and how hard it is to live your dream.
A couple adult lines, particularly in the opening scenes, are a bit out of place since girls would definitely be drawn to this movie about a woman overcoming to live out her dream.
Not perfect, but a very good film.
