Jigsaw is back. The Jigsaw. The one who died of cancer several movies back.
5 people are locked up in a Jigsaw trap and must confess their horrific crimes to escape. Their story is actually not bad. There are two things I would have changed, the blender scene and the thief's scene. The blender was not intimidating and seemed pretty simple to survive, plus what happens seems implausible for multiple reasons. The thief scene is just dumb. Oh, there's one more scene that's really stupid and out of place as Jigsaw would have zero control over the situation (Can't explain without spoilers.)
This movie actually ditches a lot of the previous complex story lines, but still has the twists you expect. This should have been the Saw movie right after Jigsaw's death in the series.
The best Saw since the first one.
