The hints about the true motivation behind Gaston's actions are about as subtle as a freight train. You'll know pretty early on what is probably really happening.
You'll also marvel at how the writers had to make him an idiot just to stretch out the plot. The film, literally, could and should have been a short.
The whole end sequence will have you laughing because reality leaves the building.
