Hawken - Mech FPS game

I love mech games.

But not this one.

It's not bad, but it's not great. It's your standard twitch and click FPS death match type game. There are no real tactics or anything. Just strafe, jump, shoot, kill, die, repeat. Nothing to make it stand out. Sure, it's mech based and you can pick between different mechs with different guns. But that doesn't change how you play. EVERY mech is strafe and shoot. Not a lot of replayability as there are no real team tactics except travel as a group and kill people. Very small maps and 6v6 max (or maybe 7v7).

These are not mechs. Sure, you can plug in pieces and parts, but without limb/torso/head customization - and more importantly, targeting - it's just another FPS shooter in a metal suit, not a real mech game.
