Mostly PC, but console and mobile too

My 360 is broke for the second time although this is my first red ring of death so I guess I should consider myself lucky. The first time it was still under warranty but this time it isn't. So my choices are pay $100 and if they can fix my current one they will and if not they will send me a refurbished console or I can spend $200 and get a new one.

Not thrilled with giving them more money but I tried a refurbished console from a game store a long time ago and it sucked.

Anyone out there have first or second hand experience with refurbished 360s from microsoft?

My 360 is from a pawn shop. No problems with it after ... three years, I think.

No experience buying direct form MS.

My X-Box broke within the last year or two. It was a first gen. So I had it a long time. I called MS, and they had me ship it back. I got my fixed, new, or refurbished one back in about a week, and it's been working ever since.

No charge to me at all.
