He needs his own thread.
It would be interesting to learn that after Avengers he started growing a brain tumor since everything since then has been kind of bad, he went off the deep end harder than Malcolm did over trump, and now here he is mocking teenage cancer survivors for not being attractive enough.

Yeah, Malcolm is bat shit crazy when he bashes some of Whedon's work like Buffy, Firefly, Cabin in the Woods, and Avengers. However, I'll agree with him on Whedon as a person.
I honestly don't understand how anyone can try to justify his behavior as that of a person who believes in equality, tolerance, and freedom. He's a bully. He goes out of his way to condemn, insult, and mock anyone with a differing political opinion.
His claims of being a male feminist are clearly dead on though. If feminism has taught me anything, it's that mocking other women is the first tactic of feminism.

Seriously though, WTF is wrong with him?
Congrats Malcolm, you're no longer the most bitter person I've ever seen.

This cartoon caught my attention today:

So I looked up the article.
It's pretty in depth and long. Whedon still seems to be in full deflection and dodge mode. I don't buy most of what he says when it comes to women or how he behaved on sets. Sorry, but men who have had no power and no luck with women will typically lose control when offered unlimited amounts of both.
However, I will point out one thing that does seem to validate him a bit in one controversy:
Again, that little bit doesn't absolve Whedon. It just shows that while he probably thought he was a god and acted like it, others may have been taking advantage of the situation as well.

However, I will point out one thing that does seem to validate him a bit in one controversy:
Did Fisher take advantage of current events? Was he playing the race card for personal gain? Was he working on behalf of Snyder who was already on the outs with WB? Fisher's accusations were the catalyst that got the Snyder cut eventually released. A cut that was not doing awesome with test audiences, yet somehow is "critically acclaimed" now? Horseshit. I saw it. It was better than Whedon's but still fell way short and couldn't touch anything Marvel is doing.Around the same time, amid worldwide protests against racism, Fisher posted a series of tweets accusing Whedon of abusing his power and charging studio executives with “enabling” the director. In a Forbes interview, Fisher said he’d been told Whedon had used color correction to change an actor of color’s complexion because he didn’t like the actor’s skin tone. “Man, with everything 2020’s been, that was the tipping point for me,” Fisher said. (Fisher did not respond to multiple interview requests.)
Whedon was stunned. He had given the whole movie a lighter look, brightening everything in postproduction, including all the faces. He said the claim that he had disliked a character’s skin tone, which Forbes ultimately retracted, was false and unjust. Whedon says he cut down Cyborg’s role for two reasons. The story line “logically made no sense,” and he felt the acting was bad. According to a source familiar with the project, Whedon wasn’t alone in feeling that way; at test screenings, viewers deemed Cyborg “the worst of all the characters in the film.” Despite that, Whedon insists he spent hours discussing the changes with Fisher and that their conversations were friendly and respectful. None of the claims Fisher made in the media were “either true or merited discussing,” Whedon told me. He could think of only one way to explain Fisher’s motives. “We’re talking about a malevolent force,” he said. “We’re talking about a bad actor in both senses.”
Again, that little bit doesn't absolve Whedon. It just shows that while he probably thought he was a god and acted like it, others may have been taking advantage of the situation as well.

Almost all of that comes down to office gossip.
Good or bad, that was one of the more honest interviews I've ever seen.
