I needed a new light comedy to watch on Netflix, so I picked this one. i am about 4 episodes in. They seem to be building a big "who did he marry" mystery in the show openers with his kids, but in episode 1 he told them "And that's how I met.... your aunt." Which would give away the big mystery since their mother has to be that character's sister. But I don't know.
So, as I said, four episodes in... does this show get good, eventually, or should I cut out early before wasting more time?

I enjoyed it. My favorite character was Barney. Gets a little repetitive towards the end. And the mother thing is dumb.
It's not me, it's someone else.

So far Barney is so one dimensional that I am offended they made Neil Patrick Harris act that role. I understand that a paycheck is a paycheck, but damn. He could have done porn.

I really enjoyed that series. One of the few I watched all the way through the life of the show. I would be interested to discuss things in the series after you've finished it (if you finish it). I wonder how some of the things play out for the viewer watching as the series ran as opposed to watching on demand.
And Barney gets better.

Meh, lots of people use the word "aunt" for someone who is really a friend of their parents. Inconclusive.Which would give away the big mystery since their mother has to be that character's sister.
I liked that series a lot. But then I only watched it one episode at a time. I'm not sure it could stand up to marathon viewing. Maybe take it in batches.

True. I'm "uncle" to a lot of kids to whom I'm really dad, but "dad" doesn't knowTPRJones wrote:Meh, lots of people use the word "aunt" for someone who is really a friend of their parents. Inconclusive.Which would give away the big mystery since their mother has to be that character's sister.
