Re: 31
Trailer looked interesting.
I just hope Rob has gotten over his love for 70s-movie-pacing. It's outdated and feels slow, now.

Re: 31
I have yet to forgive him for his Halloween movies, and I say that having LOVED House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects.

Re: 31
You probably like House of a 1000 Corpses more than Rob at this point. He's almost disowned it.

Re: 31
If he disowned that, yet still owns those Halloween bastarizations, then yes, I would not like Rob Zombie right now. The guy who made those two movies (Halloween remakes) doesn't understand horror or how to tell a story.

Re: 31
Also he made his best music with White Zombie, I don't care how much better his solo projects sell.

Continuing with his confessions, Zombie also reveals (openly for the first, I believe) that he perceives House of 1,000 Corpses as a failure. “The first film , which people seems to love, is just a calamitous mess. Well, when it came out it seemed like everyone hated it. Now everyone acts like it’s beloved in some way. All I see is flaw, upon flaw, upon flaw… upon flaw.”

He's also a vegan now so really he's slowly going insane.

Re: 31
He doesn't mention his Halloween crap. I was worried he'd say something like, "Now that was good."

Re: 31
31 has some sort of traveling performers, including Zombie's wife...I know, you're shocked...getting kidnapped and forced to play a game of death. They have to survive 12 hours in a maze with insane killers hunting them down. All while Malcolm McDowell and some old chicks wager on their survival.
It just occurred to me that I have no idea how the biggest guy in the group dies.
Anyway, there's simply nothing to the movie. I've already described the whole plot in as detailed a way as I can without listing out the order and cause of death.
Two notes though:
1. How they set themselves up to be kidnapped must have been written by George R. R. Martin because it involves a character being completely stupid and oblivious (fuck Ned Stark).
2. One actor makes the movie: Richard Brake. He is unbelievably awesome. The best performance I've seen this year. WB/DC need to fire Jared Leto right now and hire this guy as The Joker. (I looked his name up on IMDB for this review and other peeps are saying the same things I'm saying here.)
This is not The Devil's Rejects. This isn't even House of 1000 corpses. This is a by the numbers slasher flick without any pretense of the victims being safe. It's predictable, it has stupid victims, and most of the killers are more cartoon characters than scary murderers.
That being said, Richard Brake is worth the price of admission and if you're a horror fan this isn't the worst movie ever made.
