Yoga Hosers

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Right?

In his own words, "I made a film for teenage girls."

Ok, watched it and I now get what he meant and why so many folks hate it.

This is a niche movie. It's not made for everyone. Kudos to Smith for doing that in an era where Hollywood is trying to make every blockbuster appeal to all audiences. Of course, that means some folks will hate it, and they should. It's not for them.

But is it worth seeing? It really depends. Do you listen to Smith's podcasts or are you a teenage girl? If the answer is no, then this movie is probably not for you.

It certainly wasn't for me, but I also went it expecting to hate it, so I was pleasantly entertained. It's dumb as fuck and Smith's relying way too much on inside jokes these days, but whatever.

Again, podcast listeners and teenage girls only.

I managed to get about half way through it.

I may not return to it.

For some reason I finished it.

Ok, he said he made.a.movie for teenage girls. Fine.

That being said, it was so bad that I will avoid all Kevin Smith movies from now on.

His next film is the final film of this "Canadian trilogy" of Tusk, Yoga Hosiers, and Moose Jaws. (Seriously.)

He needs to go back to his wheelhouse.

Clerks is off the table as Steve Anderson (Randall) is done making movies.

Another Jay and Silent Bob film is being worked on now.

Mallrats 2 is on hiatus due to something I forget. I know there was talk of making it a Netflix series. Everyone except Affleck was back on board too.

His hockey movie became a series, but I don't think it ever got going.

You may not realize this, but he's been directing several episodes of The Flash and Supergirl.

Smith is very interesting right now though because of Weinstein. Smith praises Weinstein a lot and credits him with his career. He also happens to be married to a MEGA left wing feminist. He's been very silent on this scandal. His Twitter feed and FB page have nothing on it. No idea if any of his podcasts mention it as the only one I listen to is Hollywood Babble-On and the next one of those is scheduled for October 20th, so the podcast won't be up until the following Monday. It looks like all of his podcasts have stopped as of October 6th. (There is one from the 8th, but it was probably pre-recorded.) I do see a tweet of the Supergirl cast, so he may be up there filming and using that as an excuse to hide until he has to address it on the 20th.

Stay tuned.

I recognized his Flash episode when Mewes showed up.

But I am not watching flash or arrow any more if DC isn't going to keep the same actors in a consistent universe.

He does multiple episodes of both Flash and Supergirl.

And DC is absolutely NOT using the same actors for their movies and TV shows.
