I wish I hadn't taken more than 20 seconds to think about this movie.
- It is explained and shown that when shrunken you still possess the same energy as when full-sized, except that when you punch someone the force is directed into 1/100th of an inch, and it's like getting hit by a bullet. They showed this when shrunken Ant Man fell out of the bath tub and cracked the tile floor. Also when he fell on Garret Moriss's car.
- But we also saw him fall from an even greater height onto a record player, and not damage it.
- And the guy had a shrunken tank on a key chain in his pocket.... I guess in 25 years he never accidentally dropped his keys on the floor, causing massive damage and a crater.
Anyway. Yeah. They changed the rules as much as they wanted to, and frequently.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
When he hit the floor in his apartment, he didn't yet know how to land. When he fell on the record player, he went through a ceiling that broke some of his fall, and he made a far more controlled landing.
Remember what Hope said about controlling his impacts so they can hit like a tank or as soft as a feather?
Also, the tank was just shrunk down. It was in a different state than him.
“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell
Eh, I won't see it until well after the home video release when I go on a Marvel binge one day to catch up. I'm bound to be spoiled by then, so why fight it?
