TV - Once Upon a Time - Yay! Netflix

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I have a feeling that Disney was getting a little worried about all of their characters hitting the age when they would enter the public domain, so they made this show to restart the clock on them.

The Evil Queen is tired of everyone getting happy in spite of her best efforts, so curses the entire Magic Kingdom to shift to our world. All of the characters come but they can't remember their true identities, the evil queen gave them new memories. Then a savior arrives....

There is an overall arc, of course, but most episodes are this or that character's back story, and to be honest, things are not always as they appear. They give "bad guys" actual motivations for the bad things they do. It's sorta interesting.

I like the concept, but I am not yet entirely sold on the execution. I guess it is "good" for network TV.

Me and the kid just started season 2.... the wife wasn't patient enough so she started watching ahead. She watched about 15 episodes over the days off she had for the holidays. There are 3 seasons on Netflix, no idea where they are on broadcast. This is one of those rare things you can watch as a family without Dad wanting to open a vein.

My wife is a big fan of this show.

We watched half of the first season. We took a break cuz my wife didn't want to watch a perpetual show where the good/evil stuff just dragged on forever with no conclusion, but otherwise we liked it.

So the wife is impatient and started watching episodes ahead of the rest of us. She finds out who Dr. Wales (Whales? w/e) is (early season 2), and she is saying OMG YOU WILL NEVER GUESS. NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS. Well i start thinking about plays on his name, and his profession, and a line he said, in the show, "You are no prince of mine," and he was one of the first 5 guesses I threw out. But the wife told me I was wrong because she didn't want me to win.

Point of this story: Don't marry my wife, guys. She's a bitch and won't even let you win at a guessing game.

I don't get the "You are no prince of mine" line reference?

It was a quick line in the first or second episode of season 2. Wales says it to Charming, and he's like, "wah?" but then events happen and there's no followup.
