Fan sues.
Reddit user BlackPanther2016 shared a long post on the website detailing his or her grievances against the studios for the misleading amount of Joker scenes in the film’s many trailers. Despite a media campaign that put his grimace front and center, Jared Leto’s Joker only appears in select scenes with a screen time totaling around 15 minutes.
“My brother (who is a lawyer) and I are going to sue WB and DC for false advertising, misleading visual images and gaining a profit from us and millions others due to these acts,” he writes.
In the post, BlackPanther2016 explains that he or she drove 300 miles to London to see the movie, only to learn that “Suicide Squad” barely featured the Joker. The fan apparently complained to the theater about the “unjust act” and requested a refund, but was kicked out of the venue instead.

I'll get back to you about lunch. I'm fine with 1:15 or 3:15 at Levis or 12:30 to 3:30 at fallen Timbers.

All in all I thought it was a good movie, and they really used a sledge hammer to blur the line between what is "good" and "bad...." but I need to digest it a bit.

I did not hate it. In fact, I was entertained throughout.
I'll tell you what I told Gordon when we left the theater: It was visually beautiful, and the action was fantastic. There were some great jokes and I'm a bit shocked to say that Leto pulled off the mannerisms and voice of the Joker, but he does still look completely ridiculous and THAT killed my immersion several times.
However, the story and dialogue are a mess.
One moment had both of us laughing and it was supposed to be a serious moment. It was just so, so badly botched. I'll create a spoiler thread tomorrow to laugh about it some more. To make you really understand how bad it is, I could see it becoming "a thing" people reference when describing bad moments in other films.
If you're wondering, Margot Robbie is brilliant as Harley Quinn, BUT her character suffers from that bad writing later in the movie. Again, her character becomes very inconsistent. And that's a big problem with the whole movie: inconsistency. I assume the re-shoots, while making the movie more fun, hurt the story. At least I hope that's the case.
I felt really bad for Joel Kinnaman who played Rick Flag, the team leader, because that role was originally Tom Hardy's. I kept picturing Hardy delivering the lines and action, and it's no contest.
I get Gordon's questioning of good and bad, but I think that's because the story was so bad. (Plus, I know some things about a certain character that I'm sure he doesn't.) The story never quite justified actions. That's the best I can say without spoilers.
Oh, and one more thing: Remember when Batman stood back and watched Supes and Wonder Woman fight Doomsday in BvS? The point was to display the power and make him, a normal human, appear powerless watching gods. Well, I'd be willing to wager that the team was thought up before the story here...

Showing definite signs of slowing down. Probably breaking the $400M ceiling this weekend.

Decent chance of hitting $500M worldwide after this weekend. Does it scrape out another $300M by month's end? Will need a hell of a rush.

Certainly going to hit $600M by the end of next week. Foreign market sales are boosting the profit.

At $636M after this weekend. At this point, it's up to the international market to pick up the $164M it needs to not fail.

I haven't finished watching the movie, but watched most of it during a bike ride this morning doing hill repeats.
It was fun, entertaining, really good soundtrack. About 100x better than Transformers.
Great movie? No. but popcorn fun movie.
(keep in mind I have no familiarity with any of these characters except Joker, pre-movie)

We picked up the extended edition blu ray, and I watched it with the kid, who hadn't seen it yet.
It was OK, on second watch..... something about it, though. I dunno. Nowhere near "great."

Watched the extended edition last night.
The movie is still entertaining, but the plot and dialogue are still complete dog shit.
