TSA humiliates dying woman.

But at least they haven't stopped any terrorists yet!!!!

(I didn't like the way my punchline was originally worded, thus the edit.)

Fuck that entire airport. That's the same place I got bumped behind in the security line because some doucheholes who arrived LATE for their flight got frontsies with the express order of the airport personnel.

Holy shit! My faith in humanity has been slightly restored...

TSA announces they will be removing full body image scanners.

The best part? They're still going to be used, but the people they'll be scanning will be government workers.

I hope they install one in the Capitol building.

I'm not exactly congratulating them for taking the dildo a centimetre out of our assholes. When I don't have to take off my shoes, then unpack/repack half my shit at the fucking checkpoints, I might say they're straying towards a road I'd call "improvement."

And while it is tempting to hold that First Amendment rights should acquiesce to national security...

Any judge that would even pretend that this is a reasonable temptation is absolutely unfit for the bench. Period.

Did you see the dissenting view at the end of the article? When I saw it I immediately thought that judge needs to be removed.

Fuck the entire legal system in this country.

On the flip side...
According to the suit, while under interrogation, the authorities wanted to know “about his affiliation with, or knowledge of, any terrorist organizations..."

... he would have gotten huge bonus points had he said, "None until I was detained here."

TSA agents sleep on the job and don't show up for work.

What a monumental success this department has been, huh?!

8.78 employee misconduct events per day. Awesome.
Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., the chairman of the subcommittee on oversight and management efficiency, said on Wednesday that a few bad employees contributed to a poor public perception for the agency.

“While I know that there are many thousands of hardworking, dedicated employees working at airports throughout the country, and it’s unfair to generalize to the whole workforce, unfortunately a few bad apples can ruin the bunch,” Duncan said.

Right. That's why 99% of the TSA workers I've met are professionals.

“These findings are especially hard to stomach since so many Americans todays [sic] are sick of being groped, interrogated, and treated like criminals when passing through checkpoints.”

This is his very next sentence, which directly contradicts the first. Or are those few bad workers the only ones involved in every single complaint?

16% of TSA workers are under investigation for misconduct.

That's a lot of bad apples, especially when you consider just how bad things have to be before they even start an investigation. There's probably four times that many that need to be investigated but aren't yet.
