Crust counts majorly. Just thin crust, Leish? Damn. That's like only drinking light beer.
If I want bread, I'll make bread. If I want a sandwich, I'll make a sandwich.
I want a pizza. To me that equals: sauce, cheese, assorted toppings and spices, and the that holds it all.
Now I do dig deep dish, which is a lot more bread, and I like some thick crust, but imho, I've found that people who rely too much on their crust fail in their sauce and toppings.
In fact, some thin crust pizzas irritate me, like the "gourmet" bullshit you see where there throw a massive sheet of thin crust into an oven with a light scattering of olive oil and toppings. Fuck that. That's not pizza. That's flavored bread.

The amount of oil you put into the dough greatly affects the texture and strength of the finished product, which affects the toppings you could load onto the pizza before it gives way. In addition, the type of crust affects the gluten content. Then there's this weirdness, which has markedly different crust than anyone else.

As I've said, I can make crust, but I think it's a lot of effort for little payoff.
Granted when you do something overboard like your link, it provides "more", but that ALWAYS comes with a cost. Usually it's at the expense of the rest of the pizza.
I've found a nice premade, refrigerated crust from a local Italian grocery store that works fine for my needs. It's not too heavy, but can hold my toppings and sauce, which is key since I am known to go heavy on sauce and toppings.

I like banana peppers from time to time. Mushrooms once a year or so. But always need pepperoni.

I make them to order.
Although if you ask for green olives, you're a fucking idiot.

Oh, and when the drones are done delivering the pizzas, make sure to give them Malcolm's address for the next stop.

If I were rich, I would totally have a drone following him right now.
But I'm not, so they have to deliver the pizzas first.

I don't know what is going on, but tomorrow I am leaving the house for 10 days.
Seems like shit is getting shipped around and I don't know the method to the madness.

Finally grilled a pizza today. It is too hot to bake, and the banana peppers in my garden are really coming in, so pizza is one way to eat them.
Started with a Mama Mary's stone fired crust.... very cheap at Wal Mart. Sauced it and put the toppings on, and put it on a grill at 350-400 degrees, directly on the grid/lines/whatever it is called. Cooking surface. No pizza stone or pan between crust and fire. 10 minutes, cheese was properly melted, pulled it.
Probably the best homemade pizza I have ever eaten. I give it a B+. Now I need to try it with home-made dough.
