Can a child be a child molester? I guess technically, but the entire point of using that phrase is to a suggest an adult of molesting a kid.

Isn't an underage molester of children a "child molester" no matter how that modifier is applied? They're either a young dude molesting others who happen to be children or it's a molester who's a child.

Is a 17 year old dude banging his 17 year old girlfriend a child molester?

Depends how insane your particular state is.

I thought I read he was 15 at the time. As I think about it, I couldn't understand comments about him being kept out of jail with his being a minor himself. What I CAN see is that strings were pulled to keep DHS out of this because they would insist he be removed from cohabitating with his victims.

If it is, then the term has no meaning, then.

Consensual and similar ages I would not personally consider the term appropriate. Non-consensual or with wide enough age ranges to mean a severe power imbalance due to age and then it fits, although where the world child applies can vary.

More. I'm thinking the dudes pushing their products on the show might have wanted to know about this.
The teen Duggar inappropriately touched his sisters and a family friend at least seven times — and then told his dad about it at least three times before the family sought treatment for their son, according to the 2006 report obtained by In Touch Weekly.
The "19 kids & Counting" family didn't report their eldest son's serial gropings to police until a year after the first of the alleged attacks, which happened between 2002 and 2003.

That he told police at all says a lot.

TLC cancels annoying show.

But the network said it planned to work with the Duggars to produce a one-hour documentary about child sexual abuse that will include two of the daughters, now in their 20s, who have publicly acknowledged they were molested by their brother Josh about 12 years ago.
Believe me, if they can get that family back on TV, they will. They made that network money.

There could be spin- and one-offs galore.

I think, I'm not sure, there already is one spin off. I'd have to ask my wife. She's loves all the dumbass Housewives, Dance Moms, Duggars, Little People, etc.
Reminds me of...it was either Dennis Miller or Jon Stewart (although they both might have done a similar bit on this topic)...talking about legit intelligent people they know watching stuff like 90210.
My wife is smart, but why she wastes time on these idiots. Then again, I watch Superhero shows/movies and Deadliest Catch so who am I to judge?

The same reason pro wrestling still gets a draw. We'll believe the lie if the story's entertaining enough.
