someone should, either you or Troy would prolly be the best bet. Troy has a good headstart on you at this point but i guess it depends on what direction he wants to aim his LP's at.
Car-pen-try.. will craft bows, staffs, and housegoods like beds, dressers and stuff. That latter you would just end up selling i'd imagine. But anything you craft will get your car-pen-try up so it all helps.
You can either do that or take on whatever Scooty decides not to do because i find it hard to think he can do both weaponry and metalworking at the same time.
the first and second level only need sunlight archeum dust, the third and 4th uses sunlight archeum shards. There are a few other minor things you need to for the bow. lumber, salt gloves etc..
The same goes for the armor, but the armor uses the moonlight archeum dust and shards as far as its main expense.
There's a bonesplitter bow at the auctioneer for 40 gold that does 140 damage.
The next bonesplitter does 147 and is 60 gp more.
My current bow does 115.
Can any of you craft one higher? I assume you can. If so, send me the list tonight for what you need and I'll collect everything.
Also...you keep mentioning all the different levels. Are you implying that each time you do a crafting session you have to make every level of whatever item you're crafting? Because that would be stupid.

No, but you need to use the current level to craft the higher level. For example, i've got the 3rd level craftsman's bow. If i want to make the 4th level Artisan's then i've gotta use the 3rd level bow as one of the materials for the 4th level. So when you craft the higher level bow the lower one is now gone, it was used in the making of the higer level one.
Not sure how much dps my bow does at this point, i'll see later when i get on. Will you be playing tonight?
It's our anniversary, but the wife and one of the kids is sick, so we'll be celebrating some other day.
Also, I just noticed that this Bonesplitter Bow at the auction house doesn't have a "made by" tag. That means I should come across it in my journeys.
In different news, some asshat is advertising APEXs at 175GP in all chat. They're currently 60gp at auction...

Yes, everything you craft is started at level 1. If you want to make 10 level 4 bows, you have to make 10 level 1 bows first to turn into to level 2, etc. Same with alchemy, x10. I make 1000 level 1 potions to make 100 level 2 to make 10 level 3 to make 1 level 4. Alchemy is broken as fuck.
ok. i guess my answer should be yes then. because if you wanna mass create lots of high level pieces of equipment then you gotta start at the first level. or just buy the lower level one off the AH then craft the next level you want.
I don't know much about Alchemy, but is there some high level stuff that you can craft that costs 100LP per item. I know with leatherworking one piece of low level gear costs me 100LP but this turns into lots of XP and helps alleviate the grind of just turning pelts into leather.
Highest LP cost I've found is 25, and it's at high levels and requires exotic materials. The highest mana refresh potion: 5 lp. Highest heal: 5 lp. Armor buffs are in the 25 range but require archeum/lunarite potions which is like the 5th level of that stuff. Combine 5 to get level 2. Combine 5 to get level 3, etc. So, about 100 motes per potion or something. 1 potion for one item, 25 lp.
Bad: Levels slow as fuck.
Good: Can mass produce stuff with very little LP investment.
you might wanna look into doing cooking then. It goes hand in hand with farming and fishing. If nothing else you can at least turn your farming goods into something useful. Cooking has some pretty good buffs at high levels.
Bought two APEX at 60gp each during lunch from some guy I met up with on Mirage Isle. I'm thinking of watching the market and maybe reselling them over and over and over...

Gotta find out how to post my screenshots from this game.. I got some good pics of Scooty and Cake's epic family fued pillow fight!
As we all know Cake is firmly against any PKing our own faction and Scooty could give two shits, if they have a trade pack he wants to kill them. So at one point we were all together and next thing i know Scooty is purple and Cake is attacking him, calling him the enemy because he attacked a faction member. LOL!
I just stood there and watched as they threw down, neither one could kill the other. It was a long drawn out fight but i'd give round one to Cake, he had him down pretty good when another faction member saw Scooty was purple and helped to finish him off. Then in round 2 Scooty was getting the better of Cake, he had him on his heals and Cake fell back to a shrine for safety. Scooty called him a pussy and rightfully so. I just sat back and took screenshots.
So we didn't group up anymore that night, and thats when i noticed that Scooty had left TKV.. It was hilarious, just like the good old day in League of Legends. The Scooty and Cake dynamic is still alive and i love it!
Screenshots to come when i figure out how to do so.
In my defense, I didn't fall back to the shrine for safety, I was just falling back to keep my range. There just happened to be a shrine back there. I had no idea.
And he kills anyone he thinks he can kill. They don't have to have a trade pack.
Round one, he just finished killing a faction member and was at about 90% health. Yes, he even kills newbs. I attack and win that fight, but take a bunch of damage.
Round two, I'm at half health and not paying attention. He's at full health and sucker punches me to start round two. He won round two, but only because he was at full health and I was less than half.
PKing is part of the game just like UO. PKing our own faction? I guess you could argue it is because it's possible, but what does one get out of doing so?
Do we need the meager cash/resources a single pack gives us? No.
Do we want to be hated by reds and greens alike so we have trouble going into any section under dispute/in conflict/at war/or even traveling with our own packs? No.
Do we want all the other greens at the docks to actively try and keep us specifically from getting packs making it that much harder for us to do well there? No.
What's the payoff?
Is it the immense satisfaction of killing someone who wasn't expecting it from an ally?
I don't care what Scooty does in game. It's his dollar, let him do what he wants. However, under the TKV banner I don't want us PKing friendlies. That's the exact opposite of what TKV has always been about.

Productive day today. Finished the Thatched Farmhouse and hit 5k Alchemy. Had to buy a Regal Alchemy table to be able to do level 3 heals because the game is broken. They have been unavailable at the public workstations since Alpha and have not been fixed.
It was fun transporting all the lumber/iron packs 3 at a time with my cart!
FYI: I need medicinal powder. Lots and lots of it. After planting your stuff, fill in the blanks with mushrooms and other stuff that can be ground into medicinal. Keep the mushrooms though. I need those for level 3 heals. Aloe, etc, turn into powder. It's 36 powder per level three potion.
He says he changed his ways. He donated a bunch of resources to the guild and has stopped PKing. Today, there was a newb in all chat spamming that he needed a ride across the water. He had a trade pack and it was taking him forever. So, in all chat, he said "I'm in the water with a trade pack. Can someone give me a ride?" Ummmm. Scooty responded, partied up with him, and gave him a ride. Complained about it! But carried the level 12 trade pack guy through hostile waters to his destination.
I was so proud. It brought a tear to my eye.
In other news, my wife is officially playing now and doing well. I'm thankful because I have a LOT of farm land to try to keep full!
