Camping the doc in Solzreed scored us 3 trade packs. Scooty got the first one solo. Then I joined him and a boat came in with two of them. There was a third green guy with us and we were all focusing the level 36. We got him low and I dove down. Scooty finished him and I was down there to grab the pack. When I surfaced, Scooty and the green guy had the second guy, level 42 trapped and dying. I locked on with ranged attacks and Scooty started diving. Me and the green finished him and Scooty scored the pack. Lots of Salt coming in tomorrow night!
It was pretty easy pickin's. The green population was pretty low and the reds rarely had a support force with the trade packs.
I'm working and onsite until the end of the next week after today. Haven't tried to get Archeage on my work laptop, not sure I will or not.
Also in Cinderstone, if you have diving gear, a ship with a breathing thing, or you're willing to burn a Dahuta's Bubble* potion you can also try the starshard nodes off in the water off the Breezebrine Coast. It's not marked on the map, but it is really obvious when you are in the right place, because the nodes sort of boil and you can see the spouts above the water. No iron at all, you get starshard chips instead, but you still get stone. Starshard isn't hugely valuable, but it is worth far more than iron. Each node costs 25 labor to mine, so it goes fast.
Considering renting the spot, as a farm, to our neighbors. Since we are a guild now, we can disband the family. Then I can create a new family and give them access to it.
We are wrecking the Solzreed dock tonight. Lots more greens, but lots more reds as well. We have each gotten two so far. Since I'm ranged, I start diving right away as Scooty pounces. We are gliding on to full boats, picking the lowest level with a trade pack and fighting. It's odd that the reds can not attack us in these waters, but other greens can. I just don't get the combat flags. But, we have figured out enough to be profitable! We have each turned in two so far.
We are up to about a dozen stolen trade packs. We took a break to get Leisher over seas to get his large farm. The dock was completely open and we walked right in with no reds in sight.
