Way too buggy to continue playing tonight.

Scooty and I seem to be in the same place in the story, and it's also where half the server seems to be.

hmm.. I seemed to only have problems earlier like about 7:00 or so because the servers crashed, after that no problems.

Why you never respond to any of our messages Leisher?

I've been wondering about that...

I saw Scooty tonight and he just stood there for a bit then eventually left. I never saw him talk except for a word bubble after killing some quest guy. He said, "Finally" because a ton of folks were trying to kill the quest guy and one of us got the final shot on him because it counted as a kill for both of us.

So...how do I filter out all the other stuff and just show party messages?

Pick a chat tab, right click to rename it whatever you want.

and just filter for: local, shout, party, whisper

That'd be less spammy than what we have now

On my third try at trade quest 4. They made it harder or something. About 10g in materials at the bottom of the ocean.

Stranger did the ill fated second try with me. Got toasted too - but was a good trip

Wow. Congrats on that one. Not sure I'm going to have the patience for it. Get those trees planted!! We are going to need wood. Lots and lots of wood.

Leisher, was just talking to Scooty. Said he was talking quite a bit with you. Trying to get you in the raid group to make those crowded quests easier. You never responded so he left figuring you just wanted to be left alone.

But raid invites. Those aren't people just spamming you with crap. Always join them. If anyone in the raid group kills the monster, it also counts for you. If it's one where you have to collect something from it, you can loot it. You both can, actually. So, accept those. Unless you just really want to do it alone. Often, the most crowded quests are the ones I finish the fastest because there is always a random raid group. Plus, those harder 'boss' guys you can't take down alone. So, being part of a raid helps because you have a bunch of people helping. I was stuck twice rushing for the farm house because I couldn't kill the bad guys by myself. Called for Troy's help, but before he got there, a couple other people showed up, we raided up and killed them. Then just leave the raid. OR, stay in it and watch random XP points come in from other people killing stuff. But, you might be sharing your xp with them too. Not sure.

That was the first time on the open waters for me. Must admit i was kinda nervous just waiting for a Squid or Jellyfish to attack us, you feel really vulnerable in that little ass rowboat and it is SLOW going. When we finally did get attacked by the Jellyfish, i got 2 shotted. Troy said there was 2 of them but i only saw one and it was level 50, before i could even get a shot off on one i was dead. Think i'm gonna buy a Clipper with my next GS purchase, we're most definetely gonna need it.

Right now i have about a half a stone pack and not really much in the way of lumber yet. So we need to hit the mines and get some stones and keep growing trees. I cheked out the public tree farm in White Arden last night and it was completely full. If Troy's large farm needs a lumber pack to finish, then we should put our first completed lumber pack into that and get that farm producing. Then after that maybe Cake's farmhouse, but that takes alot of resources and will take a while to finish.

Man you weren't kidding about the public tree farm in White Arden - it's totally full. I ran up a hill nearby and threw my 5 trees in an illegal tree farm. We'll see if they last until lunch.

For trade quest 4: There is a route that goes further south and west, away from the "trench" Death Star style that Stranger and I got killed in.

You go south until you see this nice little island with trees on it, and then go around it. No Jellyfish in this route. Saw a lot of bait fish and schools. Chasing schools of fish and landing them in your fishing boat might actually be fun. I want a big trophy for my house (scaffolding)

Well I've joined the party invites Stranger has sent me, but I never saw anyone chatting. I've just been going through the story trying to level up.

I'll be more chatty in the future...

Yes, he got a house down in Two Crowns on the beach, its at the very back of it and i'm concered about his ability to expand as it was the only place left and if someone expands before him or places a farm down by him he will kinda be pinned in. He can always move it as there was that area east of us that Troy had found and had room for expansion, but Scooty seemed to like the place he found instead.

Sandbox game, he can put it wherever he wants! Just glad he got it figured out + a house down. Near us is a bonus, too.

We can fit more into our original space. We just need to get some stuff built and our farming space to get productive.

My illegal 5-tree farm didn't make it 12 hours. Need to find a better spot if I'm going to try that again. Cork is the money illegal farm tree, 4 hours to maturity.

*** you can dissemble a trade pack? This makes looting one and then putting the contents on the auction house possible - didn't know this ***

Worked late last night. Got home and thought I'd check out the mines at the construction area to see if they weren't as crowded, etc. They were just as crowded, but damn, I was getting that second bonus ore a lot. My first 3 gave me the bonus. Kept going and I'd say I was hitting 50%. I was even finding abandoned ones around. Ended up burning 950LP because it was so hot there. Only did it for about 20 minutes.

Going to figure out a way to macro in game to stay connected and get fast LP regen.

Also, I did not know I had to "receive" my money from that trade run. Never noticed the gold wasn't put in my "account". Was I supposed to try to negotiate a better price too?

Only way to do that would be to take it to a less traveled vendor for more moolah. But it was a quest - so you didn't have the option.

Hitting the AH hard to sell stuff to try to get to 100 lumber. Up to lucky 66.

e: found a 17 log wild sequoia tree growing a few hundred feet from our auction house guy

AH? I planted Aspens on a small farm next to my farm house. Harvest and replant at will there. They should be getting close to done.

What's our order of importance?

1. Troy's large farm.
2. My farm house? More trade runs and get other people with large farms?

I figure last on the list is finishing any of our regular houses. Next large farm, do we want it someplace else to plant other things? Like the desert, or whatever.

Just thought that I had not set my farm to "Family" and you guys couldn't farm it. So, I changed that and harvested/replanted. Stranger's trees were done, so I did the same. Ended up with 52 wood from the 8 trees. Troy, your farm is not "Family", so I couldn't do anything on yours.

Holy shit man. Lumber is going at 70-75 silver a unit right now.

That means it's 70-75 gold a tradepack? Wild Trees are the real gold mines.
