Dr. Scvediok says to be prepared for a storm that could come as early as the end of September, and plan for the entire winter season, which this year, he says, will more than likely spread into next June.

Wtf is he talking about? That's normal biz up here.

I don't have a problem with this as long as I don't lose power.

Seriously?

NC was like 75 today, beautiful cloudy day (for a bike ride).

It was snowing in Yellowstone the other day.

Me and Yellowstone are facebook friends. It's no big deal.

Well, 75 to you is 90 to me. And 75 is still way too hot for a bike ride. 75 is good swimming weather.

It was nice and cloudy, so low 70s felt great. Even set a KOM today.

Speaking of bikes, what bike(s) do you ride?

I have a Raleigh hybrid (not quite road, not quite mountain). Close to the Cadent on their site right now. I have a Garry Fisher mountain bike which is what I ride full time now because I can beat on it more and I ride for exercise, so I don't need it to be easy.

But I will add that I have not been on either in about a year. Have my first and only tour end of this month. 25 miles. I was going to do a 100K back in July, but sprained my ankle the week before, so didn't. My ankle has been my excuse for slacking all summer.

Lazy bastard. :)

I was thinking of getting a disc-brake hybrid for commuting. For long rides, though I ride a Trek Domane 4.5 (which is probably about as much as my car, but that really isn't saying much since my car's a 99).

Is the Garry Fisher a full suspension or hard tail? I've got a hard tail, but was thinking of upgrading to full suspension.

Been looking for this thread forever. There is no snow where I am now, nor was there any when I left Minneapolis. Naturally, we've switched from worst winter ev4r to hottest year ev4r.

We had an hour of flurries last Saturday, which is more snow than normal for us. We typically get snow every 3rd year.

It just became cold enough up north for snow to accumulate on the ground.
