“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell

Sons are sent away at 18, and spouses are banned from the town except on weekends.

Now the women have made an appeal to bring more single men to the town. But there's one caveat: Men have to follow their rules. OK, that shouldn't be too hard to do. But the truth is that any incoming men have to follow all the guidelines that the women created, from town planning to farming, religion, and more.
...
Resident Nelma Fernandes, 23, said, "The only men we single girls meet are either married or related to us…. We all dream of falling in love and getting married. But we like living here and don't want to have to leave the town to find a husband."

1) Soon as you're not single, you get the boot except on weekends.
2) You have to sell your brain and soul for dividends paid to your dick.
3) I'm sure there won't be any issues of jealousy among the women there.
4) You want to make a major change in your life, but you aren't willing to leave your tiny-ass village to do so, even if it cripples your chances?

That all sounds absolutely insane.

The town motto is probably, "Sis Semper Calumniam."
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."

That's the penalty for breaking their rules during someone's period.

I'll pass.
There are plenty of rural crazy women in my area, so there's no need to travel.

I was referring to the Nic Cage movie "Wickerman" where he was trying to get his daughter away from his wife who had gone to an all women place and ended up being burned alive in a straw man.

I knew what you meant. I think Leelee Sobieski (the other odd/hot actress from a decade ago) was in it.
