Maggie

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Maggie is going to be a drama.

Apparently, it's going to be about a father-daughter relationship during a zombie outbreak. She gets infected, and the film follows them as she turns.

Arnie's going to show off his acting chops...

I've seen him do a decent acting job in as many as three films.
Diogenes of Sinope: "It is not that I am mad, it is only that my head is different from yours."
Arnold Judas Rimmer, BSC, SSC: "Better dead than smeg."

Looks like Old Yeller except instead of his dog it's his daughter. Brutal.

Very much a drama and very well acted from top to bottom. Yes, even Arnie who I wouldn't call the star of the movie, but rather the primary supporting actor.

A couple of odd choices by the director or editor who showed a few things in less than ideal sequence.

I enjoyed this film. It's not one I'll ever watch again, but it's worth the single viewing despite it not being a typical Arnold or zombie film. Just remember it's a character driven drama and not an action or horror film. In other words, it's all talk.

This is not a spoiler, but Gordon's Old Yeller comment is pretty good.

I'll also play the "Parent Card". This movie will hit harder for parents than non-parents (with the exception of non-parents mature enough to understand that relationship).

This was very slow paced, and it seemed to linger and savor the anguish the characters were in. I'm glad I watched it without the kid, he would not have enjoyed it.

Arnold played "tired, sad, almost beaten-down husband and father doing his best to stay strong." The teenager acts like a teenager sometimes, and that's annoying. Maybe too realistic to be enjoyable.
